Traditional sailcloth marquees rely on a series of 1.1 metre ground stakes that are driven into the ground to create the tension required to safely erect and secure the structure. This tension is fundamental to both the appearance and structural integrity of the marquee.

Unfortunately, concrete, tarmac and other hard standing surfaces do not allow these stakes to be installed. Ballast weights alone do not provide sufficient anchorage for this style of marquee, which means the Meadow Package can only be installed on suitable grassed areas.

The Meadow Package is based around our traditional Celeste Pole Marquee, which is tensioned using a network of 1.1 metre ground stakes driven into the ground. These stakes are essential to creating the tension that gives the marquee its distinctive shape, strength and stability.

Because of this construction method, traditional sailcloth marquees can only be installed on suitable grassed areas where the stakes can be safely secured.
